Inflammatory Arthritis
Arthritis is a word that literally means "inflammation of the joint", which means exactly what it says, an inflammatory disease of the joints. But there are different types of arthritis, and for this reason, the inflammatory cells that come to the joint can be different.
Osteoarthritis is from wear and tear on the joint, which causes the body to react. This then send inflammatory cell to cushion the joint, to help it to repair. This is usually caused by a sports injury.
However in rheumatoid arthritis, the inflammatory cell attacks a healthy joint, and causes it to become damaged. This is what is referred to as "inflammatory arthritis". This is the most painful condition and usually affects fingers and hands first.
Inflammatory arthritis comes in 3 types: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and lupus. These are a condition that reacts to the body own immune system causing an infiltration of the inflammatory cells to the joints of the body. This then leads to stiffness, swelling and then to chronic pain.
There are a few anti-inflammatory agents that are typically used such as steroids. These are injected right into the site of the inflammation. Though this is typical, it is not always recommended. There is a number of natural arthritis programs that include diet and exercise that actually promote the body to heal and keep the joints functioning at their optimum capacity in spite of the disease.
We do hope for cure someday, but until we do, the patients face a life long ordeal of trying to manage their condition. There is relief available, and much of it is through natural arthritis treatments that will help your body deal with this disease. And also helping you to live a life free of pain. You will have help as you deal with this inflammatory arthritis.
